Activities may book up quickly and reservations are required (first-come, first-served). Sign-ups open at the conclusion of the Monday Orientation at approx. 10:30AM. If you cannot be there in person, you may call us at (603)-745-9900 and ask for the Activities Department (ext. 470 from in-room), or you may sign up in the Main Lobby any time after that (again, limited space - first-come, first-served).

1:00PM - GUIDED HIKE TO THE FLUME GORGE: Join us on this 2-mile (round-trip) hike to see one of the natural wonders of our state. Along the trail, you'll view granite cliffs, waterfalls, and covered bridges. This requires hiking up & down hills with some steeper pitches in places; you will work up a sweat at times. Appropriate outerwear and footwear recommended (we will provide any necessary traction devices like YakTraks, micro-spikes, or snowshoes depending on conditions). Minimum of 4 participants required or hike may be cancelled. $15 per person.
4:30PM - MATINEE MOVIE - ARTHUR THE KING (free event): Over the course of 10 days and 435 miles, an unbreakable bond is forged between pro adventure racer (Mark Wahlberg) and a scrappy street dog companion dubbed Arthur. Based on an incredible true story. Rated PG-13.
6:00PM - FUN PAINT: Similar to a paint & sip event but with all the freedom to paint what you wish (good for adults and children). Either come with your own ideas or we will provide stencils. Located in the Fun Factory. $5 per craft.

9:00AM - VISIT THE ROBERT FROST HOUSE AND HARMAN'S CHEESE SHOP: The poet Robert Frost wrote some of his most famous poems while living at this property in Franconia, NH. The museum inside his home is now closed for the season, but we'll have the opportunity to explore his property. We can walk The Poetry Trail, which is an easy stroll that displays Frost's poems throughout his quiet forest, or hangout on his front porch and take in the view. Afterwards, we'll head to Harman's General Store for a little shopping. $5 per person.

1:00PM - GUIDED HIKE TO THE BASIN & KINSMAN FALLS: Explore one of the most scenic trails in the region with us. You will be greeted by a seemingly endless series of waterfalls, cathedrals of natural ice formations, and some of the most picturesque scenery imaginable. This 1-mile hike (round-trip) is labeled as moderate; however, some may consider this hike strenuous (you will encounter continuous uphill walking, steep pitches, ice, and snow). Appropriate outerwear and footwear recommended (we will provide any necessary traction devices like YakTraks, micro-spikes, or snowshoes depending on conditions). Minimum of 4 participants required or hike may be cancelled. $10 per person.

10:00AM - UFO BUS TOUR: One of the most famous UFO stories in history happened around the corner from Pollard Brook Resort. In 1961, Betty & Barney Hill claim to have been abducted by aliens and later returned to their car on the side of the road nearby. We will head out in the bus to re-trace their route on that fateful night. We'll make a few stops including a scenic view in Franconia Notch where they initially claim to make first contact, the official state historic marker that commemorates the spot they claim to have been abducted, a local mural of the alien (one of the best photo opportunities around!), and we'll also be able to shop for some commemorative merchandise from this incident. 4 participants required or tour may be cancelled. Approx. 1.5-hour tour. $5 per person.

Along the way we'll learn about NH wildlife, the Old Man of the Mountain, ski history, and the iconic Hollywood actress Bette Davis (who was a local resident during the height of her fame). We'll also stop at Harman's General Store for a little shopping. Very little walking is necessary, but we'll be on and off of the bus for photos. 6 participants required or tour may be cancelled - sign up in advance. Approx. 2.5-hour tour. $15 per person.

7:00PM - UFOs IN NEW ENGLAND WITH TELEVISION PERSONALITY RONNY LEBLANC: Spend the evening with Ronny Leblanc, one of the stars of Discovery Channel's Expedition Bigfoot and Travel Channel's Paranormal Caught on Camera for a presentation on UFO's in New England. Learn about the different types of UFOs that are seen, the historical incidents in New England, plus Ronny will be sharing some of his own personal experiences. Not to mention, one of the most famous UFO stories in history, the Betty & Barney Hill incident, happened just one mile away from Pollard Brook Resort on September 19th, 1961. $5 per person.
