Spring Fun on Cape Cod

Shining Sea Bikeway

A lovely bike path for cycling through marshlands and the countryside of Falmouth and Woods Hole. The Shining Sea Bikeway extends beyond to North Falmouth, along the Vineyard Sound Shoreline. The path is a paved path that runs about 10.7 miles long. 

Island Queen Ferry

A quick and easy 35-minute ferry ride from Falmouth to Martha’s Vineyard. The Island Queen Ferry has everything you need to make your voyage as comfortable as possible, have some chowder or relax with a cocktail in their enclosed lounge or outside on their decks.  

Woods Hole Science Aquarium

A small public aquarium that’s owned by the U.S. Government and operated by the National Marine Fisheries Service and the Marine Biological Laboratory. The aquarium was established in 1875 making it the country’s oldest public aquarium. It displays approximately 140 species of marine animals that are found Northeast and Mid-Atlantic U.S. waters and is designed for self-guided tours of the main exhibits and a behind-the-scenes look at aquarium operations. 

Nobska Point Lighthouse

Located near the division between Buzzards Bay, Nantucket Sound, and Vineyard Sound in the settlement of Woods Hole, MA on the southern western tip of Cape Cod, MA. Standing since 1828 and surrounded by beautiful views , climb to the top! 

Highfield Hall & Garden

Open from April to October, Highfield Hall & Garden is a 19th-century estate offering heritage exhibits, gardens, concerts and art shows. It's a beautiful cultural center that is surrounded by restored gardens, peaceful walking trails, and conservation land. 

The Knob

A roughly 0.9-mile loop trail through beautiful woods along the sea, the Knob is a must visit on Cape Cod, offering picturesque views all along the trail and rocky beaches. You can swim at your own risk as there are no lifeguards. Dogs are also welcome, but must be kept on a leash. The trail is open from 8:00 a.m. to sunset.
